Nothing is more important to Baby Boomers than family and friends, and spending time with them. Here's a resource for everyone you care about: children, parents, grandchildren, friends and other interesting people.

Bulldog a Favorite

The lovable, homely bulldog has “muscled” its way into the Top Ten list of most popular purebred dogs in the U.S. The bulldog has not been on the Top Ten list since 1935, but has been growing in popularity ever since. Often a mascot for sports teams or the military, the bulldog is also a good choice for a family pet. But don’t expect to take it swimming with you, or even for a run because of its tendency towards breathing problems. You will have to choose more wisely if that’s what you want your pet to do.

The top ten breeds, according to the AKC, are:

1. Labrador Retriever

2. Yorkshire Terrier

3. German Shepherd

4. Golden Retriever

5. Beagle

6. Boxer

7. Dachshund

8. Poodle

9. Shih Tzu

10. Bulldog
