Stay Healthy This Winter

Even though it's been a relatively mild winter this year, we all know that Mother Nature may decide at some point to throw some nasty weather at us. Best to be prepared for any and all nastiness.
Some tips to keep you safe this year include:
- Dress in warm, breathable layers to maintain a healthy body temperature. Wear hats, gloves, scarves, boots and anything else you can find when you are outside to protect your skin.
- Drive carefully. Worth repeating: Drive carefully. ALWAYS Wear your seatbelt. Slow down when roads are treacherous. If possible don't venture out into the bad weather if you can help it, which is hard to do. The less folks on the roads, the better.
- If you are out playing in the cold, stay dry. If your clothing gets too wet come inside to change and warm up. Rehydrate during your stay outdoors and when you are inside
- Check on your neighbors who may not be able to get out. If possible offer to pick up some groceries or what's needed for them. And kudos to you if you find time to shovel or snow blow steps or driveways for an older neighbor.
