Boomer Bucket Lists

From S and J:

Our Bucket List (in no particular order)

~~ Attend a base ball game in all the major league stadiums- (Seattle Mariners - August 2012)
~~ Attend each of the major sporting events: World Series, Super Bowl, Kentucky Derby, Indy 500, US Open...
~~ Mediterranean Cruise
~~ Rome and Tuscany
~~ Alaskan Cruise
~~ Return to Prague in the summer to find relatives living in the area.
~~ Ireland - (hopefully for J's 60th- 2014)
~~ Complete genealogy research and document findings
~~ Scan all of our pictures and save digitally
~~ Transfer all VHS videos to some safer location - the cloud?
~~ Build a new house
~~ Pay it Forward

From M:

Yea on the Bucket List. In my world, if I don't plan to do stuff then it rarely happens.
~~ Plan at least 3 awesome ski vacations for the 2012-2013 ski season (membership in a ski club makes this so doable).
~~ Invest more time in my friendships - I'm too lazy about maintaining friendships that I really do care about.
~~ Attend at least 1 quilting workshop this year.
~~ Visit Bermuda.
~~ Refinish a chair before Sept. 23rd, 2012 (my daughter's birthday). She has been waiting patiently for me to get'er done.
~~ Complete several quilts that are "works in progress" or as quilters refer to them - "UFO's" for unfinished objects, I guess.
~~ Re-slipcover the family room sofa (that's a project that was started in a previous decade) sure hope I still like the fabric I chose way back when.
~~ Come up with a strategy for a lengthy vacation in Scotland? Ireland? England? France? Italy? Belgium? Switzerland? Any or all of the above would be a real accomplishment.
~~ And last but not least...stay healthy enough to use up my entire quilting fabric stash before I die. Has anyone made it to 150 lately?

From L:

Big Bucket (hard to do)

~~ spend a month ( a year?) in Tuscany
~~ learn Italian (need a teacher)
~~ learn to sing in key (ditto)
~~ learn to play the piano (need a piano)
~~ re-learn how to ride a bike (need a bike)

Little Bucket (within my grasp, just need to get around to it)

~~ re-learn how to draw
~~ finish at least ten of my craft works-in-progress
~~ read a book a week that I don’t “need” to

From N:

~~ Get over my fear of flying! Since 9/11, I cannot get on an airplane.

~~ Get every closet AND the attic cleaned and organized.

~~ Write letters to my two children so that after "I'm gone," they can read them and get on with their lives knowing we loved each other dearly, but it's the Circle of Life.

~~ Throw out those old panties and bras that I will never wear but are in good shape still!

........not necessarily in this order!

Bucket Lists: In the movie Bucket List, two terminally ill men played by Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman get together to complete all of the items on their to-do lists before they die.
